Acoustic Sound Wave Therapy
ED AND PEYRONIE’S DISEASE ARE A THING OF THE PAST WITH OUR REVOLUTIONARY THERAPY
If erectile dysfunction (ED) or Peyronie’s disease are preventing you from performing your best in the bedroom, don’t be discouraged. We have a nonsurgical solution that can enhance your sexual performance.
Breakdown in blood supply to the penis is common with age. It can also wreak havoc in the bedroom. Instead of relying on medication, acoustic sound wave therapy can resolve your performance issues, once and for all.
In addition, acoustic sound wave therapy is ideal for men who cannot take the usual ED medications, such as Viagra, or who do not want to undergo a more invasive procedure, such as penile implant surgery. Acoustic sound wave therapy offers a long-term solution to erectile dysfunction by improving blood flow to the penis, resulting in harder, longer-lasting erections. Best of all, it is a noninvasive therapy, requiring little to no downtime after a few quick, easy, and convenient in-office treatments.
WHAT IS ACOUSTIC SOUND WAVE THERAPY?
Acoustic sound wave therapy – also known as extracorporeal shock wave therapy (ESWT) – is a quick, nonsurgical, and painless treatment performed to stimulate healing and regrowth of tissue. We perform ESWT right here in our offices.
Low- and high-frequency sound waves are used to cause microtrauma to the tissue under the skin, which stimulates healing in the area. Originally used to break up kidney stones, ESWT is now also used to break up scar or other tissue to encourage tissue repair and regrowth.
ESWT can alleviate symptoms associated with a number of conditions, including erectile dysfunction and Peyronie’s disease. We use GAINSWave® to perform ESWT.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT WITH SOUND WAVE THERAPY
During an ESWT procedure, you simply lay back as a wand is gently moved over the surface of your skin, sending sound waves to the target area. While the device makes a loud clicking noise as it works, the procedure is completely painless.
ESWT breaks up existing scar tissue and, like other wellness procedures offered at NIVA Men’s Health, it triggers your body to create new, healthy tissue. Thus, while it may be weeks before you notice the full effect of the therapy, the treatment is safe and causes minimal side effects.
Each ESWT session takes less than 30 minutes to complete, although multiple treatment sessions may be required to achieve desired results.
Sound wave therapy is yet another way to relieve symptoms of ED or Peyronie’s disease without medication or having to resort to surgery. It’s an excellent addition to any men’s health treatment plan.
DOES ACOUSTIC SOUND WAVE THERAPY REALLY WORK?
A recent study found that erectile function significantly improved with shockwave therapy, especially among men with vasculogenic ED (reduced blood flow to the penis during sexual stimulation). An earlier study found that men with vasculogenic ED experienced improved erectile function after six months of acoustic sound wave therapy with no adverse effects.
ESWT has also been shown to be effective in treating the pain and disfigurement of Peyronie’s disease. It can painlessly break up scar tissue and help improve penile angle. Men with Peyronie’s disease who undergo ESWT report significantly improved satisfaction with sexual intercourse following their ESWT treatment regimen.
“I attended an educational workshop with my husband and it was a fantastic experience.I went into this thinking I couldn’t afford the treatment but I learned otherwise at the seminar and the consultation that the cost of losing out on quality of life far exceeds paying for this service.”
CAN ACOUSTIC SOUND WAVE THERAPY HELP YOU?
Men who are experiencing painful erections due to Peyronie’s disease or those struggling with erectile dysfunction despite other medicinal treatments such as Viagra® or Cialis® should consider acoustic sound wave therapy. It can be especially effective for men who are diabetic and dealing with arteriogenic impotence.
