Dysport is a botulinum toxin which is very similar to Botox. It has been used by Europeans for years and recently received FDA approval for the treatment of facial wrinkles in the US. It has a similar mechanism of action to Botox however a slightly faster onset and a somewhat wider field of effect from the site of injection. Both Dysport and Botox are priced by the unit, Dysport is less expensive at one third of the relative price.

Why use Dysport?

These two botulinum toxins are very similar yet not exactly the same, there are potential differences in  terms of effect amongstl patients. The patient, as an individual, may have a preference for one brand over the other.
