How much does medical weight loss cost?
At Atlanta Medical Institute, getting started means a $99 initial consultation in person at our Sandy Springs office. This is a one-time consultation fee paid when you book, not the total price of a weight-loss program or a monthly medication package. The cost of ongoing care depends on what is recommended for you. Follow-up visits, medicines, lab work, injections, and procedures are billed separately.
What the $99 initial consultation includes
Your first visit is with our clinician at 5009 Roswell Road NE, Suite 201, Sandy Springs, GA 30342. It is an opportunity to understand your concerns and discuss an appropriate next step. A consultation does not guarantee that a medicine or procedure will be recommended.
- An in-person visit at our Sandy Springs office
- A review of your health history, symptoms, and goals
- A discussion of appropriate options, risks, and costs
Which costs are billed separately?
Before starting a care plan, ask which of these charges apply and how often to expect them. A consultation price alone does not tell you the full cost of treatment. Ask for a breakdown based on the care being considered for you, rather than assuming another person’s treatment or costs will apply.
- Follow-up visits
- Medications and pharmacy costs
- Lab work and other testing
- Injections, procedures, and in-office treatments
Compare the full care plan before deciding
If you are comparing clinics or medication options, request the same breakdown from each. Separate the first visit from ongoing appointments, medication, and testing. Ask about costs again if the recommendation or your circumstances change.
- Is this a one-time charge or a recurring cost?
- What does the quoted price include, and which charges are separate?
- How often are follow-up visits and testing expected?
- What would I pay for the exact medication being considered?
- What are the payment, rescheduling, and cancellation terms?
Insurance and payment questions
Do not assume that insurance will cover a particular appointment, test, or medication. Ask the office and your insurer about your specific benefits and expected out-of-pocket costs. Coverage and reimbursement are not guaranteed. You can also ask the clinic about current payment options before choosing a plan.
Questions before you reserve a time?
Call (404) 264-9553 or send a general inquiry to ask about getting started. An inquiry does not book an appointment or collect payment. When you are ready, book through the secure patient portal and pay the one-time $99 initial consultation fee, or call our team to arrange the visit.
